WHICH GREENHOUSE TO CHOOSE?

Whichever Elite greenhouse you decide to purchase, you can be sure that each comes with the key ingredients of quality components, excellent service, great value for money and a 10 year frame guarantee. Gardener’s and growers alike find that once they have enjoyed the fruits of their labour, they want to expand and experiment and soon find they outgrow their greenhouse.

Elite Greenhouses therefore recommends some future proofing by purchasing the biggest greenhouse you can possibly site to avoid this potential restriction. Once having established the size which is most suitable in line with your budget and space available there are then further considerations to be made.

The type of base you are considering is a key facto,r as every Elite greenhousel needs a base of some kind with the exception. The Compact, Streamline, Craftsman and High Eave come with an integral base up to a maximum length of 8 ft. A separate 5” aluminium base is available if you require these models beyond 8ft and is an optional extra on the rest of the greenhouses within the range. Whether it be timber, aluminium or brick, all greenhouses and lean-to’s require a base to allow the door(s) to slide in the overhanging bottom track.

To make your Elite greenhouse that little bit more Unique, there is a wide range of accessories to compliment your intended purchase. Unlike other manufacturers, every model and size throughout ther range, as well as their relevant accessories, can be powder coated from a choice of colours which includes Green, Brown, Black, Terracotta, White or just plain alloy. This hard wearing, long lasting coating helps protect against chips and scratches and offers that professional finish.
Cresting and finials, available in powder coating if you require, give your greenhouse that Victorian feel and are offered on all freestanding greenhouses.

A dwarf wall modification can be applied when you require a building to be cut down in height and constructed on top of a custom built wall to achieve a desired eaves or ridge height. Not only can the you decide the height of the wall Elite can also change the height of the eaves and ridge if required. Dwarf wall models are available on all models.

For more information see Dwarf wall modifications.

A drop door can be applied to almost any wall height or into Elite’s aluminium base and is particularly useful for wheelchair and wheelbarrow access.

For more information see Drop door modifications.

Safety to users, children and pets are of paramount importance so toughened safety glass to BS6206 standards along with Grade A and polycarbonate safety glazing are popular alternatives, sold as optional extras, to the standard horticultural glass.
